  1. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Google Site?
    Strengths:
I love the setup of yours. It is easy on the eyes.
You have a good mix of video, pictures, and text.
I like how your real-world examples had solutions to them.
You truly did a great job!!
Weaknesses: Is there a way to have the Google Form without signing in?? I had the same trouble with videos I used from my Google Drive. You had to be signed in to see them.

What questions, concerns, or comments do you have about this topic?
AT devices are also more effective when all adults in a special needs student’s life are trained to use the student’s device . Did you find that many districts provide this training??

    1. This is an issue I think we are currently having in our district. I actually have been doing work for my district since the beginning of this semester to produce tutorials for teachers and parents to use from home for various AT devices. Hopefully we will see more district-parent collaboration for our district and other districts as a result of these tutorials in the future!

  2. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Google Site?
I loved the examples that you gave, they were to the point and were important resources in the classroom. Nice job on the real life examples and possible solutions. The examples you gave will be encountered in the classroom. Where did you get the activities from? The activities were well thought out and organized.
What questions, concerns, or comments do you have about this topic? With the budget being a popular topic in the schools, how will schools be able to gain this technology in the classroom? What if the schools are unable to help the individual?

    1. Hi Joe, Thanks for your feedback. The schools are required through IEP's to provide technology for any student who needs it. I am attending a meeting for this very topic next week. The activities were ones I made up after learning how to use the Kidspiration program for assistive technology work at my school. Thanks for checking them out!

  3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Google Site?
Your navigation is clear and easily understood. The pictures and YouTube videos kept me interested in the topic and wanting to read more. The contact page is a great idea! I appreciate the "Why is Assistive Technology Important?" section. Describing the importance of this technology in regards to a classroom teacher will create a stronger connection for an average educator. Additionally, I appreciated the transition on this page to how to find this technology and the different types.
On your activities page, organizing step one of activity two into bullet points or a list fashion might help users understand the question. I had to reread it twice to understand what was required. Also, are you going to provide access to your Google form?

What questions, concerns, or comments do you have about this topic?
I could apply one of the classroom examples to my current teaching position; however, the other two were not applicable. Could you find an example geared towards a teacher with students who have even more minor issues?

  4. Excellent job, Maura! Your site is very organized and nice to look at along with providing a wealth of information!!! As for weaknesses, the only thing I can say is that a teacher might get overwhelmed by the amount of information? That's not really a weakness!!

Question, concerns: Your real-life examples and the additional resources were helpful!

  5. Strengths/Weaknesses
    • I liked all of the visuals throughout the workshop!
    • I liked that you used more tabs along the side of your workshop and made them more personalized to your topic.
    • It was useful to see your real-world examples that included assistive technology solutions
    • Presentation was very organized and informative on the topic.

    Suggestions
    • You have provided a wealth of information throughout your workshop! I think it is great! At first I was overwhelmed on how much information and reading is provided, which is a good thing! I would rather have all of the information in one place rather than read something and have questions or have to go search myself for something.

  6. Strengths: You have provided a wealth of information and it is very organized. I like that you broke down some information based on what technology is available for the disability.

Weaknesses: I did not find any weaknesses with this workshop, great work!

Questions, Comments, Concerns: I'm assuming you've used kidspiration before, how well do students grasp creating their own visual aids? This is something I may use in my math class.
